The article reflects the results of a scientific and creative search for Russian research in the field of such a branch of sociological knowledge as housing sociology (sociology of housing). During the study dissertations and articles of Russian sociologists in electronic scientific libraries were analyzed, as well as available literature on the sociology of housing in Russian online bookstores. Library classifiers (UDC, LBC) were studied for the presence of housing sociology. The structure of national and international sociological associations was examined in order to identify specialized scientific committees and groups, as well as topics of well-known Russian conferences on sociology.
